Atlus shared new details about Persona 4: Golden Revival during its Anime Expo panel, confirming Abby Trott as the English voice of Rise Kujikawa and revealing that Mappa will produce the game’s animated cutscenes.
The panel, titled Atlus Presents: Persona 4 Revival, took place in a packed Petree Hall and featured Persona Series General Producer Kazuhisa Wada, Persona Series Business Producer Yohsuke Uda, and Atlus Character Designer and Illustrator Shigenori Soejima. Paul Castro Jr., the English voice of Yosuke Hanamura in Persona 4 Revival, hosted the panel.
Abby Trott Joins as Rise Kujikawa
Abby Trott will voice Rise Kujikawa, the popular idol known by fans as “Risette.” In Persona 4, Rise is a high school freshman whose fame continues to grow before her story brings her to Inaba, where her grandmother runs a tofu shop.
Rise’s Persona is Himiko, and she remains one of the most recognizable party members from Persona 4’s cast.
MAPPA Will Produce Animation Cutscenes
Manabu Otsuka, president and CEO of Mappa, made a special appearance at the panel to confirm that Mappa will produce all animation cutscenes for Persona 4: Golden.
The announcement adds a major anime studio name to the remake, giving fans a better idea of how Atlus plans to update the game’s presentation for modern platforms.
Persona 4 Anime Streaming for Free
Atlus also confirmed that Persona 4 the Animation and Persona 4 The Golden Animation are available to watch for free on YouTube through Aniplex USA until August 19.
That gives returning fans and new players a chance to revisit the cast before Persona 4 Revival launches next year.
Launching February 18, 2027
Persona 4 Revival launches February 18, 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game will also be available day one through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with Xbox Play Anywhere support.
