Marvel Cosmic Invasion has shared its first extended gameplay video for The Siege of Castle Doom, showing a new mode built around branching routes, combat perks, and a race against Doctor Doom’s plans. Developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu will release the DLC on November 10.
The expansion comes to Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It also adds Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom to the playable roster.
Beat the Siege Gauge Before Doom Activates His Weapon
Castle Doom mode challenges you to reach Victor von Doom before he activates the Cosmic Inductor. A Siege Gauge tracks the growing threat, putting time pressure on your progress through the castle.
The gauge does more than mark your deadline. As it fills, the castle’s forces become stronger, making later encounters more dangerous. You’ll need to weigh the benefits of upgrades against the time it takes to earn them.
Branching routes let you choose your path through the castle instead of following a single sequence of fights. The extended footage demonstrates how those choices change the battles and rewards you encounter during a run.
Collect Battery Cells and Choose From 12 Perks
Gathering Battery Cells and completing challenges earns upgrades from 12 perks. These provide defensive, damage-focused, or tactical benefits that alter your combat abilities.
Your route and perk choices shape each attempt. Choosing buffs thoughtfully can help you prepare for increasingly powerful opposition, but you still need to reach Doom before the Siege Gauge fills.
That structure gives Castle Doom a different progression system from the main campaign, with upgrades collected during an attempt and additional options earned afterward.
Reed’s Lab Adds Progress Between Runs
After each run, Reed’s Lab provides access to permanent equipment and events. You can also obtain modifiers that increase the challenge and potential rewards of future attempts.
Alongside the new mode, Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom expand the character selection, letting players bring either Fantastic Four heroics or Doom’s own power into the brawler.
