Deep Silver and KING Art Games have released a new CGI reveal for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, this time putting the spotlight on the Adeptus Mechanicus. The cinematic serves as the second of four faction-focused reveals planned ahead of the game’s PC launch later this year.
The new trailer introduces the Adeptus Mechanicus as a playable faction, marking the group’s debut in the Dawn of War series.
The New Trailer Heads Beneath the Wastelands of Kronus
The cinematic follows Magos Dominus Nulpherus-1 and another tech-priest as they descend into what they believe is a long-buried Necron tomb beneath the wastelands of Kronus. Their mission begins as a search for ancient knowledge, in line with the Adeptus Mechanicus’ obsession with lost technology and relics of the past.
That search quickly goes wrong. What first appears to be a silent and dormant structure begins to awaken, with Necron forces emerging and turning the expedition into a fight for survival. As the situation falls apart, Nulpherus-1 is forced to retreat, with Sicarian Ruststalkers arriving to help carve a path out of the collapsing ruins.
Four Factions, Multiple Campaigns, and Returning Modes
Each of these CGI chapters is meant to introduce one of the four playable factions in Dawn of War IV. This latest reveal follows the earlier faction trailer and continues building out the game’s larger conflict ahead of launch.
Dawn of War IV is described as a sci-fi RTS featuring four factions, multiple non-linear campaigns, competitive multiplayer, and returning modes including Last Stand and Skirmish.
Launching on PC Later This Year
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is scheduled to launch on PC later in 2026. More faction reveals are expected as Deep Silver and KING Art Games continue rolling out the remaining CGI chapters.
