Seed Lab has officially launched the Kickstarter campaign for Starsand Island, a wholesome island-life sim focused on healing, self-expression, and community.
Following its debut at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, Starsand Island invites fans to help shape a charming and customizable world by supporting its newly launched crowdfunding campaign. Backers can secure early access, in-game items, digital and physical rewards, and even unique opportunities like designing an NPC or naming a new island.
“This is a project filled with heart,” said producer Richardo Wang. “With the community’s help, we can bring even more ideas to life — from deeper customization to exciting multiplayer features.”
In Starsand Island, players return to their childhood island to reconnect with nature, befriend locals, build their dream home, and farm, fish, or raise animals at their own pace. Inspired by cozy games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, it places a strong emphasis on storytelling, creativity, and comfort, with both solo and multiplayer gameplay in mind.
The Kickstarter features multiple backer tiers, with rewards such as:
- Steam keys and exclusive wallpapers ($20 tier)
- Alpha access, digital soundtrack, and in-game pet skins
- Custom furniture and skateboard/weapon skins
- Your name in the credits or on an in-game monument
- Premium tiers for becoming an NPC, designing a book, or naming a new Outer Island
Starsand Island is expected to launch in 2025.
