Sanrio and Sunblink have officially launched the whimsical Wheatflour Wonderland DLC for Hello Kitty Island Adventure, the game’s first-ever expansion. The DLC is available now for $14.99 on Nintendo Switch (in select regions), PC via Steam, and free with an Apple Arcade subscription, while the European Switch version arrives September 23. PlayStation 5 players will be able to jump in on October 2.
Cogimyun’s Call to Adventure
When Kuromi and My Melody accidentally spill a magical potion on flour in Hello Kitty’s café, they open a portal to Wheatflour Wonderland, a world of waving grain, stained-glass castles, and plenty of magic. There, they meet Cogimyun, Sanrio’s wheatflour fairy introduced in 2015, who needs help restoring the Wheatflour Guardians and unlocking the treasure hidden within the Ancient Citadel.
What’s Inside the Expansion
Sunblink promises Wheatflour Wonderland is the largest new world since launch, filled with cooking, crafting, exploration, and magical surprises. Key features include:
- New Friends – Befriend Cogimyun with 35 levels of friendship that unlock quests, abilities, and her own furniture set. Ebi Fry and Cogimyun’s brother, Cogimyon, also join in, bringing new mini-games and themed rewards.
- Fantastic Wands – Craft and customize wands to cast spells, transform into critters and objects, and solve new puzzles by collecting gemstones and Jemmies.
- Magical Hero Transformations – Discover outfits and accessories to become the legendary Wheatflour Guardians.
- Exploration & Rewards – Hunt down 150 Wheathearts by solving puzzles and uncovering secrets, then trade them at the Wheatheart Tree for special rewards.
- New Recipes – Collect Noodle Grass to whip up new dishes, including instant ramen and spaghetti with meatballs.
Cozy Adventure, Big Rewards
Hello Kitty Island Adventure continues to pioneer the “cozy adventure” genre by blending decorating, cooking, puzzle-solving, and platforming with Sanrio’s trademark charm. The game has received widespread acclaim, winning Apple Arcade Game of the Year and a Webby People’s Voice Award, along with nominations at The Game Awards 2023 and the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
Players can also enjoy multiplayer activities like island challenges and building vacation homes together, while customizing their Sanrio-inspired avatars and sharing gifts with friends.

Alongside the DLC, preorders are open for the Hello Kitty Island Adventure Gift Box on Nintendo Switch, priced at $59.99. Available at Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart, this edition includes:
